The single worst/funniest moment in pro wrestling history?
I give you the debut of the Shockmaster at WCW’s Clash of the Champions on August 18, 1993.
Sting, Davey Boy Smith and Dusty Rhodes were touting a ‘mystery’ partner as the fourth member of their team for a tag match at WCW’s upcoming pay-per-view. Sid, a member of the opposing team, was fed up with the partner remaining a mystery, and demanded to know who it was. Sting obliged with the request, introducing their partner, The Shockmaster. Shockmaster tripped onto the floor in his very first second on WCW television, and the hilarity ensued.
Is it the single most unintentionally funny moment in pro wrestling history? Perhaps. You tell me.
Vengeance: Who will win, and buy or sell?
That’s right, folks, it’s already time for another WWE pay-per-view.
Tonight’s Vengeance event will mark the company’s third PPV in just six weeks. Fortunately, this one looks to have a little more potential than the last two. WWE will next build towards Survivor Series, which isn’t until Nov. 20.
Let’s talk about who’s going to win tonight. Read the rest of this entry
